The first intensive was residential. Students travelled to Cairo and sat with the shaykh for nine days, which is a different thing from following a course from home.
The day had a fixed shape, and it has not changed since: six hours of lessons with Shaykh Yūsuf b. Ṣādiq al-Ḥanbalī, and two hours of reading. The reading hours are not homework. They are part of the programme, sat in the same room, because reading in front of a teacher who can be stopped and asked is most of the reason for travelling.
The fee was €600 and did not include flights. It did include accommodation with breakfast, lunch and dinner, transfers from and to the airport, and the guided tours. An instalment option was open to anyone who asked for it.

Time out of the room went to the Islamic sites of the city: the old mosques, and the burial places of the scholars. That part is not decoration. Reading the madhhab in the city that carried it, and standing where its men are buried, does something a reading list does not.
