Shaykh Muwaffaq al-Dīn Abū Muslim Yūsuf b. Ṣādiq
He is Shaykh Muwaffaq al-Dīn Abū Muslim Yūsuf Muḥammad b. Ṣādiq al-Ḥanbalī al-Qādirī, the principal teacher of the Madrasah’s online platform.
Shaykh Yūsuf studied under scholars from al-Azhar University (Jāmiʿah al-Azhar al-Sharīf) and scholars outside of it, from Egypt as well as other countries such as Pakistan. Alongside the Islamic sciences he studied the worldly sciences at Misr International University, in the faculty of Humanities and al-Alsun, combining linguistics, translation and English literature.
What and where he teaches
Shaykh Yūsuf was formerly the executive director of the Nahj Institution, overseeing and supervising the various curricula of Madrasah Shaykh al-ʿAmūd, where he also held an official teaching post, having taught Ḥanbalī Fiqh, Ḥadīth and Tafsīr. Today he holds a teaching post at al-Zāwiyyah al-Tījāniyyah al-Kubrā, teaching Ḥanbalī Fiqh, Ḥadīth and Muṣṭalaḥ al-Ḥadīth. Furthermore, he is the main teacher of the Al-Madrasah al-Ḥanbaliyyah online platform. In the worldly sciences he teaches various university courses in linguistics and English literature.
Chains and ijāzāt الأسانيد
He holds general ijāzahs in the Ḥanbalī Madhhab from Shaykh Dr. Muḥammad Sayyid al-Ḥanbalī, the Grand Shaykh of the Ḥanābilah at al-Azhar, and from Shaykh Dr. Walīd al-Manīsī al-Ḥanbalī. Under Shaykh Muḥammad Sayyid he studied Bidāyat al-ʿĀbid, Akhṣar al-Mukhtaṣarāt, Hidāyat al-Rāghib Sharḥ ʿUmdat al-Ṭālib, Kashshāf al-Qināʿ, Lumʿah al-Iʿtiqād, Qalāʾid al-Iqyān, and Sharḥ al-Kawkab al-Munīr, among many other texts.
In ʿAqīdah, his chain in Lumʿah al-Iʿtiqād connects through an uninterrupted Ḥanbalī line back to Ibn Qudāmah al-Maqdisī himself. In Ḥadīth, he studied under Shaykh Aḥmad Maʿbad ʿAbd al-Karīm, one of the foremost muḥaddithīn of his generation at al-Azhar, under Shaykh Saʿd Saʿd Jāwīsh, and under Shaykh Muḥammad b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Shujāʿ Ābādī, through whom he studied Musnad al-Shāfiʿī and al-Muwaṭṭaʾ. He holds a connected chain to Ibn Mulaqqin through Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī. In the inward sciences he studied Taṣawwuf and Ḥadīth under Shaykh Ḥasan al-Shāfiʿī of al-Azhar.

He is the author of A Concise Commentary on the Tadhkirah of Ibn Mulaqqin, published by Al-Madrasah al-Ḥanbaliyyah in 1446H / 2025, and of Ḥāshiyah al-Muwaffaq, a commentary on Lumʿah al-Iʿtiqād composed to present the text as Ibn Qudāmah intended it, from within the Ḥanbalī-Atharī perspective.
