Abū Hidāyah Abdurrahman Aziz is a dedicated student of the traditional Islamic sciences with a focus on the Ḥanbalī tradition.

He has pursued his studies under the guidance of qualified scholars, benefiting from the rich intellectual heritage of the Ḥanbalī school and the careful instruction of Shaykh Yūsuf b. Ṣādiq al-Ḥanbalī. Having studied with the Shaykh both in person and online, he has become well acquainted with the Madrasah’s methodology and the traditional approach to seeking Islamic knowledge.

What and where he teaches

Abū Hidāyah is based in the New York City Metro area. Beginning this year, he is a muʿīd at Al-Madrasah al-Ḥanbaliyyah, teaching exclusively through in-person classes in New Jersey and New York. His primary language of instruction is English.

In response to the growing need for qualified English-speaking teachers in the region, he helps make the traditional Islamic sciences more accessible to the local American Muslim community. As a muʿīd, he teaches foundational courses in Ḥanbalī / Atharī ʿAqīdah, Ḥanbalī Fiqh, and other introductory Islamic sciences, helping students build a solid foundation before progressing to more advanced studies under Shaykh Yūsuf.
